Playing Big Trains

I found myself on YouTube!

In 1999 Black 5 45110 stormed out of Liverpool Lime Street and up the bank past Edge Hill Station where I, and many others, were stood waiting. The sound was stunning - we could hear the loco working very very hard all the way up before she burst out under this bridge and took the applause!

This event will be re-run in August to celebrate the 40th anniversary of 1T57 - the last steam passenger train out of Lime Street before the end of steam on BR. Be worth a visit.....

By the way, I am the figure who runs out of shot to the right at the very end.....
